Horse day celebrated in Bashkiria

Last weekend, the Horse Day was celebrated at the hippotherapy center in Ufa, Bashkiria. According to the director of the center, Natalia Nikitina, the holiday has become a good tradition for the region.

The representatives of the national equestrian theater Darman performed horse acrobatics for kids. The performances were carried out under the guidance of instructors of the Center for people with disabilities of the Bashkir Republican Organization of the Russian National Society of Disabled People. These children have been getting help at the hippocenter for several years. Children with disabilities are rehabilitated with the help of horses-healers for free. At the moment, there are about two hundred of such children.

"Every year, the kids make performances, get ready and work as volunteers. We try to arrange a celebration not only for those children that we are involved in our classes but also for ordinary people," said Natalia Nikitina.

Anyone could take a horse ride and try themselves in the role of hippo-artist by drawing or sculpturing a figure of the beloved animal.
