RUSSIAN DRESSAGE TEAM WON THE COMMAND LICENSE FOR OLYMPIC GAMES IN TOKYO

For the first time since 1992 the Russian national dressage team will take part at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 in the team event. In the equestrian complex Maxima Park was held the qualifying tournament "Tokyo Tour" for the countries of geographical group C.
The Russian team, consisting of Tatiana Kosterina, Regina Isachkina, Elena Sidneva and Evgenia Davydova, won the Grand Prix with a score of 210.130%. The main rivals - the team of Belarus received from the judges 198.717%, securing second place in the "Tokyo Tour".
Russian couple Elena Sidneva and Fukhur 6 triumphed in the qualifying Grand Prix with a score of 72.022%. The second place took the Belarusian couple Hanna Karaseva and Zodiac with a score of 69, 804%. The third was the Russian couple Tatiana Kosterina on Diavolessa VA with a score of 69.087%. The fourth prize was given to Evgenia Davydova on Avakening with a score of 69.022%. The fifth prize went to Regina Isachkina on Sun of May Life with a score of 67.022%.
At the Olympic Games in 2020, three riders of the Russian national team will go to Japan to compete for medals in the team and individual competition.
Marina Sechina, President of the Equestrian Federation of Russia, said at the awards ceremony: “We are very pleased that for the first time in almost 40 years we are going to the Olympic Games as a team. For every athlete - great joy and pride to take part in such a tournament for their country. This victory was preceded by a huge, painstaking work.
