TOKYO TOUR: RESULTS OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE WITH RUSSIAN AND BELARUS NATIONAL DRESSAGE TEAM
The Russian national team in composition of Tatiana Kosterina, Regina Isachkina, Elena Sidneva and Evgenia Davydova won in the Grand Prix on the Tokyo Tour in the equestrian complex Park Maxima. Team Belarus ranked second.
The final award ceremony consisted of a press conference with the participation of the command and advisor to the President of the FKSR Maksim Kretov.
Anna Karaseva: “We are not rivals, we are friends. Of course, Russian team is very strong. I think that we also managed to perform well. We have a very young team. Now it has become clear, since Russia received a command license, then only one personal license remained for our group C. We will now fight for it. We will not fight amongst ourselves, but for our country.”
Chef d’Equipe of Belarus team Svetlana Evshchik: “The team performed decently. An excellent result was shown by Hanna Karaseva. We have something to work on. I think we will correct our actions in the future.”
Tatiana Kosterina: “This is my first time competition in my homeland, usually I perform in Europe. This tournament was a big responsibility. I fully concentrated on my performance, and each of us did everything to reach victory.”
Maxim Kretov answered the question about senior coaches of the Russian national team on the road: “To prepare for the Tokyo Tour, we participate in the operational headquarters, which included experts in the field of dressage, including the leadership of the FKSR and the president of the FKSR. In the nearest future a meeting of the Bureau will take place, at which we will choose the candidacy of the senior coach of the national team. Now there are path candidates.” He also congratulated the participating teams of the “Tokyo Tour”: “Today the dressage Tokyo Tour has finished, congratulations to the Russian national team on the victory. Also, I congratulate the national team of Belarus with a gorgeous performance I am sure that among all of you there is a personalities who will fight for the personal licence, and we will go to the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020 together to fight for medals.”
Regina Isachkina told about upcoming plans and answered to the question about participating in the European Championship: “Our team is formed by the leadership. Everything will depend on which horse will be in better physical shape at that moment. We have qualifications. Therefore, the best will go.”
June 30 will be the qualifying show jumping tournament to the Olympics. Israel, Poland, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan.
