How show jumping competitions are held

Our project focuses on the dressage but today we'll make an exception and show you a story about show jumping. This type of the equestrian sport values not the beauty of riding but technical and flawless performance of jumps.

“A rider’s challenge in show jumping is to pass a route without penalty points and not to confuse the obstacles”, says Irina Maximova, a show jumping trainer. “It is important to jump the barriers, not to knock them down.”/p>

Obstacles for show jumpers are tall and wide. Judges look how high and far can a horse jump, also there are a whole bunch of obstacles which a rider can see just half an hour before the start.
