MARINA SECHINA ELECTED TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE REGIONAL GROUP III

FKSR President Marina Sechina was elected as a President of the Regional Group III of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), due to which she automatically becomes a member of the FEI Bureau.

Online voting took place from September 3 till 12 in two rounds. In addition to Marina Sechina, Ales Machulskaya (Belarus) and Bahruz Nabiev (Azerbaijan) claimed the presidency. To win the vote, it was necessary to collect 2/3 of the votes.

In the first round the representative of Azerbaijan dropped out of the struggle for the post. In the second round Marina Sechina won a landslide victory. 7 of the 10 federations participating in the elections voted for it.

Officially, as President of Regional Group III Marina Sechina will be approved at the FEI General Assembly. In addition, Olga Kogan, Assistant Secretary General of the FKSR, was elected as a member of the Nomination Committee from Regional Group III.

Member of the Presidential Council of the FKSR Vladimir Beletsky also claims to be a member of the FEI show jumping committee. Henrik Ankarkrona (Sweden) and Duccio Bartalucci (Italy) will become his rivals in the election. Technical committee elections will be held at the FEI General Assembly in Moscow.
