As part of the Equestrian School project, Boris Vodovozov, the leading athlete of Horse club «Pegasus» and Anna Shkolenko, the club’s head coach, were trained at the MAXIMA PARK modern equestrian center (Moscow). Field training within the framework of the training camp of regional youth teams in show jumping made it possible to improve the athlete's qualification level, to undergo more intensive training with the involvement of the best specialists of our country.
From October 7 to 9, sportsman of KSK "Pegasus" Boris Vodovozov took part in youth training camps based on MAXIMA STABLES. Every day, Boris went to training in the largest indoor playpen in Russia and trained under the guidance of leading experts paired with a seven-year-old horse named Gabana.
Under the guidance of the training master's trainer Vladislav Breslavskaya, on the first day, Boris worked on the management and trajectories of the route, using exercises with poles and cavaletti lying on the ground. The second day was a jump training, on the third day the couple had to go through a combat route. Following the results of three days, a conversation was held with the rider, during which his strengths, mistakes and methods that could most effectively help eliminate shortcomings and move on were analyzed in detail. According to the results of the training camp, Boris received a commemorative diploma.
On October 11, Boris Vodovozov defended the honor of his club in one of the routes of the MAXIMA PARK Cup Final in show jumping, having traveled a purely route with an obstacle height of up to 90 cm with a result of 62.99 seconds. The stages of this series during the summer season are held throughout the country and the finest athletes from all regions of Russia are going to the Final.
On the same dates, the trainer of KSK “Pegasus” Anna Shkolenko passed a continuing education program as part of the continuing education course “Theory and Methods of Physical Culture. Equestrian trainer. " Every day, Anna went out to train with leading mentors of youth training, masters of sports Vladilava Breslavskaya and Igor Samodurovsky, who shared their knowledge and experience with her on the example of working with riders of different ages and levels of training. Also in advance, in absentia, Anna mastered the theoretical materials of the course sent to her, and according to the results of testing and the control exam, she was awarded a state-issued certificate.
Anna Shkolenko shared her impressions over the course of several days: “We are very pleased with the opportunity to take part in the training camps and the opportunity to improve their qualifications under the guidance of such masters as Igor Samodurovsky and Vladislav Breslavskaya. We got invaluable experience and incredible pleasure from working with coaches of this level. Boris on the route tried to comply with all the instructions of the coaches, so he worthily finished without penalty points. For Boris it was a completely new experience - starting on a new horse unknown to him (the horse was rented at MAXIMA STABLES, editorial note). He managed to cope with excitement and find a common language with a four-legged partner. For the rest, they received useful tips when working with distances, as well as examples and options for mini-routes for working at home. ” Anna also added that she would pass on her knowledge and experience to her Tobolsk pupils: “We have something to strive for and work on.”
We thank Anna Karpova and the Center for Equestrian Education for the organizational support of the participants in the second stage of the Tobolsk 2019 Equestrian School horsetimes project.
The project was implemented with the sponsorship of SIBUR as part of the Formula of Good Deeds social investment program.
